Dave Keys (that's me) is uniquely qualified to bridge the gap between small businesses and those technology providers who up-sell to expensive but profitable big name solutions. You could pay 10-20k in a flash to have solutions that I can provide for only the cost of my time and sometimes the price of a mid-range computer (around $500) if you don't already have one.

I eat my own "dog food": I run all my web hosting, databases, applications, SQL server, Email server etc. on a single Windows Vista Machine. I did opt for extra memory- that cost me an additional $200. I run my phone system (including the toll free number) on an old Pentium III computer with an 800GHZ CPU and 1G Ram and a tiny hard drive. It also runs an extra web server, DNS, Administrative Email and several other applications on top of a full blown phone system with voice mail and call routing.

I get it that a small or even medium business needs the same solutions that so many are offering for tens of thousands of dollars when all is said and done, without breaking the bank. You can often achieve those same solutions for 1 or 2 thousand, or even less if you already have adequate equipment. Lots of businesses already do but nobody has shown them how to leverage that equipment to get all the benefit.
