January Sunset in So Cal

Murrieta Sunset blazes in a January sundown. This hilltop shielded my view of the extraordinarily colored sky until I rounded a curve on the path down the hill. Then I finished of a photography session of mountains and snow with this glorious post-sunset.

Down The Trail After Sundown

This is one of a series of shots I photographed going down the trail of a hill I've dubbed Weathertop. The sun had set, and I came around a corner where the west was blocked from view. The very red clouds awaited me and my camera.
