Getting Found On Google

SEO is a cross between talking to a database and talking to a person. It helps to have an understanding of how database technology works, especially the nuances of database queries and SQL, the language of database storage, retrieval and analysis. Presenting information to Google in a way that flows well with a database improves your chances of early retrieval (ranking) but Google also has algorithms that prevent raw database style language from working. Natural language must also be incorporated and a message to people must have your database language embedded in it. This is a challenge because people don't care about the search aspect, just your message.

Google search is a little like real estate and the upscale, valuable positions are hard to find, acquire, maintain and protect.

It got cold for a few days, and further north, it got bitter cold. While Montana suffered through 10 degree weather with 10 below wind chills, we got down to absolute zero for some locals. It was actually pretty mild. It got down to 31 at my house in the high desert but this flower never noticed the cold.

Lightroom Is Cool but...

Lightroom handles my raw photos and does great in quick-fix color corrections, sharpening and the like. Really a great product overall. The problem is, I became used to iPhoto and the ability to drag and drop photos right from iPhoto into my Blogo software. I really miss that. Even with the manual route, I have to export processed photos first.

Lightroom creates masterpieces from great photography, but don't expect quick and easy interaction with some of the usual Mac software.

Something About Admirals Cove

I grew up in Florida, but it was central Florida; it had hot humid summers, and it seemed that winters always brought plenty of miserable drafts down from the north to chill us thin-blooded kids to the bone. I doubt I'd make much fuss over it now, as much as the inescapable humidity. I revisited in March of 06 and it was rather pleasant, but I knew that I was enjoying what was actually the last breath of winter. There are plenty of lakes, and even the intracostal where you could, with enough fuel, travel by boat all the way to Lake Okochobee, hundreds of miles to the south. Nevertheless, central Florida is still a mixed bag of urban development, abandoned phosphate mines, communities unchanged over decades with aging homes and sleepy, out of the way places that swelter and shiver year in and year out.

Another place exists to the south. You can get a taste of it on the coasts of central Florida where development keeps fair pace and weather is tempered by the ocean or the gulf. But the real treat comes as you move down to what are truly sub-tropics between Jupiter and Key West. The foliage changes, the water takes on that Caribbean hue and the weather mis-behaves far less frequently. Here is Admirals Cove, a very upscale community that perfectly blends the convenience of money with the natural settings of the Florida tropics. The biggest feature of Admirals Cove is its open feel. With six miles of meandering intracostal and ten minutes from the beach, the community is comprised of spacious homes and spacious as well as platinum quality facilities that are so well maintained that it all feels, well, effortless.

The homeowners enjoy back yard docks that allow full-sized yachts to be tooled around in the waterways, or taken out to sea. Should you be fortunate enough to live at Admirals Cove or be a guest there, a constant bevy of opportunities for recreation and dining surround you. Golfing, full service treatments at the spa, tennis and fine dining. Still, words can't capture the essence of a place like costal south Florida.

Setting The Stage For An Encore Performance | Fox Theater Fullerton

Setting the stage for an encore performance in Fullerton, the Fox Theater renovation project has been a community effort since 2001 but so far, the only movies shown are on the wall outside so bring warm clothing for these free vintage events. The theater often makes me think of the movie, The Majestic.

The first coral tree blooms appeared in late February in Orange County this year. This tree in Fullerton was well in bloom as the weather turned the corner from the coolest days of our winter season which brought spectacular views of snow on the mountains.
